Essential Maintenance - Front Porch Replacement – Starting April 2025

The front of the hall facing Station Road is in urgent need of repair.  Starting at the end of April we are planning to replace the old front porch (which is rotten), remove the old projector room, replace the front toilet windows either side of the front doors and repair the flat roof over the toilets.  This is an extensive project and will cause some disruption for which we apologise:

  • There will be scaffolding up on the front of the hall but the road access round the hall will be open most of the time.
  • The front doors will not be accessible.
  • There will be a fenced off storage area between the Disabled parking bays and Station Road.
  • The toilets at the front of the hall will be accessible from inside the Main Hall most of the time.

The front doors are fire doors but with the other fire doors and emergency exits from the Main Hall we do not have to reduce the hall capacity during the works.

Thank you in advance for your patience.
