The Main Hall is spacious with high ceilings.  It  has a sprung floor that is acknowledged as one of the best dance floors in the district. It can also be used as a meeting room or as a function room for presentations/ parties/ receptions with an old XVGA projector and projector screen, a large white board and flip chart available for use (these must be requested in advance).   The stage is suitable for theatrical productions or concerts and is included in the hire charge.   Please see the Audiovisual Equipment page for details of our new projector and also the three spotlights available for the stage.

A hearing loop is installed.

Size of hall: 15m long x 9m wide x 3.35m high

Main Hall Maximum Capacity:              

                   135 people which may include up to 20 seated.

                    OR

                    100 people if more than 20 are seated.

The Main Hall has 100 red chairs without arms, 16 small tables and 15 large tables.

Bouncy Castles

The Hall can accommodate a bouncy castle up to 8' high and 12' wide x 15' long base (2.4m high and 3.7m wide and 4.6m long).  Please position this approximately 2m in front of the stage (to clear the overhead lighting bar) facing towards the main doors as this does not obstruct any fire exits, allows room for a slide at the front and side access. There is a suitable power socket at the front of the stage on the left hand side. The other half of the hall will accommodate seating for at least 20 in front and a free play area too. 

If you are a private hirer and planning to use a bouncy castle then you must tell our booking agent so that we can send you the appropriate insurance documents.  Please ensure that your bouncy castle supplier provides enough soft matting for all open areas, not just the exit - this is a requirement of our insurers.

Please note that the use of trampolines is not permitted on hall premises.
