12th November 2024 - IMPORTANT HALL CAPACITY CHANGES:

Recently we had a meeting at the hall where the Dorset Fire Service presented up to date information about hall maximum capacities related to floor space and fire exit width.  Following that we have updated the Hall's Fire Risk Assessment and this has caused us to revise the Hall capacity numbers.   With immediate effect therefore, the maximum Hall capacity is as follows:

Main Hall - 135 which may include 20 seated

OR:

Main Hall - 100 if more than 20 are seated

Small Hall - 37 at any time.

We are going to upgrade the emergency fire exit lighting, improve some of the signage and also will be converting the kitchen exit to a fire door. The new capacity numbers are already on our website in the “Hall Facilities” tab.
